John Bane is seen sitting in his training facility.  He is overseeing the training of other NWF wrestlers as they are in preparation to reopen National Wrestling Federation.  A man in a suit appears behind Bane as he continues to watch the two unknown wrestlers spar.

Bane:  I was wondering when you would show up.

The man appears to be startled as Bane did not even turn around and he was wondering how Bane knew he was behind him.

Man:  How...

Bane:  I can smell your cologne from a mile away Danny.  You should not be here.

The man reveals himself to be National Wrestling Federation owner Danny "D-Will" Williams.  He looks over the new recruits as they look nervous when he is around.

D-Will:  Well you are training our new recruits.  I wanted to see how they were progressing and it looks like they are progressing well.

Bane:  Well you need to get out of here.  I am going to start training for the USPW match here in a few minutes.  I would not want you to see how I train to take Pimp D and Kid Flash out this week.

D-Will:  Drinking alot of beer and smoking cartons of cigarettes?

Bane:  No.  I have not done that in a long time.

D-Will:  Ok well im going to get out of here.  I have federation stuff to do if we want to get this place operational.

D-Will leaves as Bane looks into the camera.

Bane:  The best of that USPW had to offer.  That is what you promised me when I signed up for this tag team tournament.  You promised me a series of matches so good that it would be the greatest matches of my career.  What you ended up giving me was two idiots who smelled really bad.  Had those guys ever been in the ring before?  I am sure that they were in the ring as many times as they had showered which is zero.  You cannot put that kind of trash up against the Old School Icons and expect them to finish the job.  Slim and myself are the greatest team in the history of professional wrestling with over 40 years of experience between us.  I hope you guys now see this because we are the real deal and we will become your USPW Tag Team Champions.  I seen that the fear that it will be an NWF finals has taken hold so you guys put NWF against NWF in the semi finals.  A match that in any other federation would be a main event match between four of the greatest superstars in the history of professional wrestling.

Bane walks around the ring as he continues.

Bane:  Let me say something about my opponents this week.

Bane drinks some water and continues.

Bane:  First I want to talk about Kid Flash.  Flash, you and I have been down the road for a few years.  We have been in some of the greatest high profile matches in the NWF.  We recently tagged up my friend and that is where you will run into trouble.  Do you remember this ring right here?  Yeah we spent many of our days and nights training in this ring.  I taught you alot about wrestling on the ground.  But I did not teach you everything my friend.  I knew that one day I would probably need to bring out a few moves that you did not know to beat you.  You see Flash I have been spending a lot of time in this same ring working on even more moves to beat you and Pimp D.  Flash I know your strategy.  I know that you are going to go to the air to try and beat myself and Slim.  I have plans for that.  I am always prepared and I have all your matches, which I have been watching when I have not been in the ring.  I am ready for you Kid Flash and I can promise you that if you beat Slim and myself you will have earned it.

Bane takes another sip of water and continues.

Bane:  Now I am going to talk about the man you just saw here, Pimp D.  Yes Pimp D is Danny Williams.  Everyone knows this get over it.  Pimp D and Bane have a long storied history.  Some of this history is good and some of this history is very bad.  Hey Pimp D, I still have not forgotten the things you have done to me in IWZ and NWF.  I have not forgotten that you stripped me of multiple titles and you fired me more than once.  You see Pimp I hold a grudge like none other and I have been waiting for the day to get back into the ring with you.  Myself on one side of the ring and you on the other side of the ring.  I would rather have you in a one on one match where I can take you apart and stretch you out.  Unfortunately this is not the case this time around.  I will get you in the future Pimp but for now Ill enjoy myself when we are in the ring together.  You know we used to be a tag team.  We used to be known as the pimps.  We were stronger than family but I was a dick in those days and I felt I was being disrespected so I turned on you pimp.  It is something that I have regretted but you have gotten your payback many times over. 

Bane finishes off the water and continues.

Bane:  This week on Freedom, you two guys are going to find out exactly what the Old School Icons are all about.  There is a renewed fire in my eyes and Slim has always been at his best.  So boys ask yourself one question and I want you to think long and hard on the answer.  Do we have what it takes to beat one of the greatest teams in professional wrestling history?  The Living Legend Slim and The Franchise John Bane will be waiting and when it is all said and done The Old School Icons will be moving on and we will become the USPW Tag Team Champions.

Bane goes back to watching the ring and the new guys in the ring as the scene fades to black.

The scene opens to a car pulling up to a large empty parking lot. The door opens and out comes the man that was victorious in his tag match last week against New Age Filth… Slim. He stands and looks up and before him is the Mercedes Benz Superdome. He takes a seat at a bench near the entrance and looks out towards the parking lot. The camera shining right in his face on the fair day out in Louisiana. T-shirt and jeans is the choice of clothing for the very wealthy wrestler as he seems to be reminiscing on his past career. He then looks up towards the camera as he starts to speak.

Slim:

For many this would be a very random place to be but for me… this was supposed to be it. This was supposed to be the final spot for my career. This was supposed to be the place where I finally retired and would get to spend the rest of my days relaxing with my family. With my daughter. This was the site of NWF Last Call. And I told Danny myself that this was it. That I would not step foot inside of another ring after this. I was done with wrestling. After over a decade of this I was done. All of the injuries, all of the pain and torture, after all of the abuse that my body, that my mind has been through this was supposed to be it. And I was very good with that. I accepted it. I attempted to retire many times in the past but that time it finally stuck. We were all done after NWF closed its doors and this was our final show for our fans. That night this lot was overflowing. The arena was packed to the brim. It was an amazing night and a night that I won’t ever forget. And then a couple years later I get a call from Danny about coming out of retirement to try out NGW. And at first I was extremely reluctant because I was enjoying my retirement. There was no pressure, no deadlines, no nothing. Just relaxation. And there was the deal that we would finally do something that we have talked about doing but was never able to accomplish and that is to become a team. That was the only reason I decided to come out of retirement. Because finally after years of missing out on multiple opportunities we would finally be able to do what we’ve talked about and instead that hasn’t happened… has it… Pimp D.

Instead right now, I have a better partner. A partner that is The Franchise. A man that has as much history with you as I do. Has a lot more history with you than I do in fact. And we were both big names in NWF. Huge names. I became Mr. NWF. While you were the owner and ran the business… I was the man that the people paid to see. We made a ton of money back then. We accomplished a lot and now here we stand years later and you’re partnering up with Kid Flash. Of all people him.

Slim gets up from the bench and walks towards the doors.

Slim:

You know… I often wondered why even after returning that we haven’t teamed up and perhaps… maybe I’m stretching here, but you don’t want to be outshined. You don’t want to be put in the background because you know how I am. You know that I put forth the best effort possible each and every single time I compete… except for last week. That was a week off for me and even then it was too easy. But this time you can expect that I am putting my best out and you know that when that happens there is none out there that can compete with me. And that is why I became Mr. NWF. It wasn’t just a nice nickname. It was because I bled NWF just like you. I lived for the company just like you did. Those fans loved you and they loved me. And all of the battles we’ve had in there in that ring… and yeah while you’ve ended a couple of my reigns and assisted in ending a couple of reigns that my wife had as well… understand that this is a new day. This is a new time. And that time off did help replenish my love for this. And last week was nothing more than mere practice for what is going to happen because I knew that eventually we would be facing off against each other and I was sure that when that time came I wouldn’t be holding a single thing back. Not a single punch. I just didn’t anticipate that it would be this soon.

But this is a treat for the USPW fans as they will get to see four of the biggest names in NWF history go at it for a chance to reach the finals. And you know how I am… you know I’m all about gold. I’m all about winning titles. You’ve seen my trophy room. You’ve seen my wall of titles and I added one from NGW already as have you. But this one… the USPW tag titles… only one of us is going to get the chance to hold on to that one and I’m telling you right now… it isn’t going to be you. And as far as your partner goes… he is just a casualty due to association. Because I am bringing everything I have to this. Bane is not going to hold back and I know that he is already training to get ready for this competition.

Me? Physically I’m in the best shape of my life. Mentally I’m good but I know I can be better. I can be sharper and sometimes you have to go to places that you’ve been before. You have to remind yourself where you was and see where you will be when all is said and done. I had to come here to get my mind truly back in this. I had to get my mental edge back and I believe it is back. I had to get everything back and remember that me and you… I owe you. I owe you a chance at not obtaining gold. You took my IC title back in WWF. You took my NWF world title. You ended my near year long title reign. You’ve been taking my belts and I’m going to be sure to take your chance at gold here. Because I’m sure you were watching last week and saw that I really didn’t care because I didn’t. But this week, this time, this match… means more than any match I’ve had ever since my return to this great sport.

Slim turns away from the Mercedes Benz Superdome and starts walking towards his car. He reaches the car and opens the front door and opens it.

Slim:

Pimp, Flash… understand that what is going to happen in this tournament… none of it is personal. It is strictly business. It is all for gold and simply put I want more gold and I will wear those USPW belts proudly everywhere alongside my NGW tag titles. Because understand that you two are about to go toe to toe with the Old School Icons and we are ready for a war. We are ready to put our bodies on the line and we will not be denied what is ours. Those belts will be ours and we will go through whoever we have to. So we might as well get rid of our biggest threats now and have an easy time in the finals. And that way when we reach the finals… anybody that winds up having to look at us and realize that we are their challenge… they’ll already be defeated before the bell rings. This is our time. Be ready.

Slim enters his car and cranks it up as the scene fades to black.

[Kid Flash]

**A gorgeous, sunlit, clear day in Key West, Florida is our setting, the camera panning along a long sandbar, the absolutely perfect Atlantic Ocean spread out across the background. The sole occupant of that sandbar? A masseuse table, with the tanned, lean, athletic body of Kid Flash. Flash has only a towel draped over the lower half of his body, and is face down on the table, the masseuse having left a moment before. After the massage, his body was lightly covered in oil from her hands, and the soft lapping of the ocean water on the sandbar was the only sound we could hear. As the camera rounds on Flash, the young man sits up from the table and smiles, the towel tactically dropping into his lap as the camera pans back to show him more fully. Behind Kid now we see a gorgeous speedboat, resting right against the shore nearby, the masseuse packing her gear into the back of it while Flash addresses the camera.** 

Kid Flash: USPW! How’s it going, Kid Flash here. Last week, my partner Pimp D and I absolutely destroyed the uh… uhm… damn I know I remember their names… what was it? The Butt Buddies? The Taint Sniffers? Something like that… anyway, the point is we moved forward in the Tag Title Tournament, and we intend to continue doing so this week. Unfortunately, to do so, we have to take on two men that we’re very familiar with, because we’ve been associated with them for so long. The Elderly Amigos… wait… I meant the Dusty Dudes… shit that’s not it either… OH! The Old School Icons, that’s right… still can’t believe you guys went with that name… 

**Flash shakes his head a bit with a smirk.** 

Kid Flash: Look, what’s gotta be said will be said, but first I think I’m going to address what you boys had to say about myself and ole Danny Williams first. First we got ole Mr. Bane talking about the ring he and I rolled in and trained in, and you’ve got a point John, we did roll round in that bad boy for more time than I’d like to remember, and I learned plenty from you. But you mentioned that you didn’t show me everything and that you held back plenty from me… it’s funny you mention that. First of all, your style and your method of training required me, more often than not, to hold back a lot of my offense because, let’s face facts brother… you’re old. You move slower than you used to, you don’t have the pep in your step you used to. That’s why you’ve evolved the way you have… your more technical, mat based, and hardcore now. Solid style and background, but it’s what people like you do John. You go down the road for so long, and tear yourself up so badly that, by the time you reach the middle-end of your career, you’ve got to become a tank just to stay relevant. But it works for you man, for sure… look at all the success you’ve had in NGW. Undefeated since your return, Universal Tag Team Champion, feared by the Advincola Family that couldn’t make it past the first round here. But the difference between all those matches that you’ve won and things that you’ve done, and tomorrow night is that you’ve never gone toe to toe with Kid Flash, restrictor plates removed, brakes cut, and motivation behind him. And when you do, in the second round of this tournament, you’re going to remember it for the rest of your life. 

**Kid adjusts on the table, wrapping the table around his waist before standing and strolling along the sand bar.** 

Kid Flash: You talk a good game man… but there’s holes that make me think, honestly, that you don’t know a damn thing about me. You say you know my strategy, but the only evidence of that you offered is that you think I’m going to go airborne on you and Slim. WELL… 

**Flash starts clapping in a mocking way.** 

Kid Flash: …congratulations Bane, you know the style I use… kind of like the rest of the world if they literally look at ANY match I’ve EVER been in. Strategy goes much deeper than if I’m going to do any high flying or not John, and the fact that you used THAT as your logic is laughable, at best. You also said you’ve watched all my matches on tape… well shucks John, I’m flattered. Did you come to the same conclusion everyone else does when they watch all that research? I rarely, if ever, do the same thing twice, and I’ve built a career on that. I got my name because I change my move set and what I’m doing in a flash, so great, you’ve seen all the stuff I’ve done in the past. Wait’ll you see what I do in the future… you know… the future of this tournament after Pimp D and I leave you and Slim laying and pass you up in the brackets? 

**He reaches the boat and retrieves a bag, tossing it into the sand.** 

Kid Flash: Then there’s Slim…  

**Kid sighs heavily.** 

Kid Flash: Slim, I have a new nickname for you. I’m going to start calling you Teddy Ruxspin… and before Ted appears out of nowhere and kicks my ass, let me tell you why. When I was a kid, I had a Teddy Ruxspin and when it was new, and fresh out of the box, I thought it was the COOLEST, NEATEST thing I’d ever been given as a gift… which is kind of how I felt about you when we first met. You were SLIM! THE SLIM! The man, the myth, the legend, THE ICON! There was none other like you, and none other to ever BE like you. But you know what happened with that Teddy Ruxspin I got when I was a kid? I played with it, a lot… much like I observed you tons after we met. I used to put the tapes into Teddy every day and listen to them over and over, and play with him. But eventually the tapes stopped being produced, and I used the same ones so many times that they got old and worn out. I could quote them, verbatim, and the toy, in general, got boring and lame, and eventually I think it was sold in a garage sale to some kid who wanted it as a bear, not an interactive toy. You see the similarity Slim? Or are you wearing sunglasses indoors again and can’t really see anything at all? Your rhetoric is just that, and I can quote your stuff word for word. You’re as interesting and new as white bread man…  

**Kid uses a mocking voice, imitating Slim.** 

Kid Flash: I was great, and I had titles, and Danny was mean to me, and now he’s dodging me. I was a legend, and I have money, and I could still be retired. You’re gonna lose because we’re Old School and that makes us better. Blah blah blah blah blah…. 

**Back to the usual voice.** 

Kid Flash: Your tape is stuck Slim and I’mma give you a real solid, good kick to get it dislodged, you feel me? Neither of you dedicated half the time to focusing on me that you did my partner, Danny Williams… Pimp D, whatever you want to call him. And you want to know a little secret… I know how you both train. In the NWF, I’m like a fly on the wall, a younger guy amongst older legends and names the business knows better, and I’m fine with that, because of moments like this. I’ve watched everything you both do for years, and I know damn well you’ve been preparing for what Pimp D has to offer, while standing in the corner talking about how you’ve both got the power game on me and I’ll just spend the whole match jumping off of things. Keep ignoring me… and keep thinking you’ve got this in the bag because you’re wrong, dead wrong.  

**Off screen, Kid Flash has been changing into some board shorts and pulls a sleeveless NWF t-shirt on that looks like it’s a decade old. He steps onto the boat and flips some switches, getting it ready to run.** 

Kid Flash: Now on to what must be said. Tomorrow night, Pimp D and I are going to walk the aisle against two men we have love and respect for. It might not sound like it because of what I just said, but a real friend… true family will always be the most blunt and brutally honest with you. Allow me to continue that trend boys, here’s some more honestly. We’re going to beat you, and we’re going to continue on through this tournament and leave you behind. Not because we want to… it’d be much better if this match was the finals of this whole thing… and not because we want to see you fail, but because we have to. We’re going to send you back to Nitro Gen Wrestling and you’re just going to have to make do with the Universal Tag Titles, and that’s not so bad right? I mean, all four of us will be walking around once Pimp and I win this thing with gold hanging on our shoulders, and that’s the way it should be, right?  

**Kid fires up the boat, shooting water everywhere as he does. Slowly moving to the side to pull away from the sand bar, Kid smirks as the masseuse wanders up from the back, now in a bikini and taking hold of him around the hip. He calls out to the camera one last time.** 

Kid Flash: Once we pass this hurdle of The Old School Icons, Pimp D and I literally have nothing left to fear, as the rest of the teams in this bracket are a joke. Slim, Bane, we love you guys, but this week, we’re going to leave you laying, no doubt in my mind. You’re looking at one half of the new USPW Tag Team Champions, you can put money on that. See you guys tomorrow night… try and keep up, if you can.  

**Kid guns the boat and within moments it had pulled away from the sandbar and was heading further out to sea, the masseuse’s hair blowing wild in the wind as the scene fades to black.**

Promo begins as Pimp D is seen exiting the NWF Training Center when his phone rings.


Pimp D: Yo, KF.  What up?


Kid Flash: Yo, D.  How's it going?


Pimp D: Just left da training center, checkin' out the potential NWF signees.  Ran into Bane while I was there.


Kid Flash: Yeah?  How'd that go?


Pimp D steps into his Bugatti Veyron and turns it on.  Much like his partner in this tournament, Pimp D also enjoys flashy toys.

Pimp D: I think they're just starting to realize what they're up against at Freedom.


Kid Flash: They may THINK they know what they're up against, but I don't think they can completely fathom it.  Out of curiosity, why do you say that?


Pimp D: I own the place, but he got a little pissy with me about being there when he was getting ready to train for the match.  He can do all the training he wants, but the fact of the matter is that there will be only one team representing NWF and NGW that's moving on in this tournament, and it's not gonna be the Old School Asshats.


Kid Flash: You're right about that.  So, we're still meeting up later?


Pimp D: Yezzir.  I'm headin' to the airport now.  I'll holla at ya when I touch down.


Kid Flash: Okay, man. Sounds good.  Later.


Pimp D: Chuuch.


Pimp D hangs up the phone and looks directly into the camera.  After all, it seems he can't go anywhere without a camera man following him like he's the star of a 24/7 reality show.  


Pimp D: Last week, I gave the USPW fan base a history lesson.  Well, it's time for part two of the history lesson.  Yasee, I don't think it's a coincidence that these two teams were placed on the same side of the brackets.  The USPW brass had to know that if we were not, this would be the match you'd all be watching in the finals.  That said, outside of the two feds we're representing, I just happen to have a history with both of Kid Flash and my opponents at Freedom.


Let's start with "The Franchise" John Bane.  Over a decade ago, he and I were in IWZ together--and like John alluded to--we were tag partners for a brief time before he turned his back on me.  Yeah, I stripped him of titles and fired him in the NWF before.  That's whatever.  It may have been a decade ago that we were partners, but the difference between Bane and I is that I'm still in my prime.  After Freedom, Bane's fate may be sealed when he finds himself on the losing end of the deal.  The fate of John Bane will be his realization that perhaps he should have hung up the boots some time ago.  


Speaking of hanging up boots, little Teddy.  Yeah, you, Slim.  My partner said it best.  Slim can cry about what I've supposedly done to him, but he failed to tell the story of his issues with me.  The bulk of it stems from jealousy.  Yasee, ever since 2005, Slim and I have had some of the most epic matches in WWF and NWF history.  That history started back ten years ago when I stepped into WWF and took the IC title away from him.  It was something that "couldn't be done".  Ever since then, Slim has doubted himself...for proper reasons.  Slim can have the ego the size of the Grand Canyon, but he knows deep down that he just can't get the job done when we're both in the ring together.  If you need further proof, go look back into the annals of NWF history when I beat him for the World Heavyweight Championship just a few days shy of him holding the title for a year.  


History has a way of repeating itself when I step foot into the ring with these two men.  It was just a few weeks ago in NGW that I got my revenge on Bane for turning his back on me.  That's all water under the bridge now.  I hope these guys don't get butt hurt at the conclusion of Freedom.  We may all be friends and allies in the NWF stable we've created within NGW and potential future co-workers when I re-open the NWF soon, but that's all pointless when the bell rings.  This one is for the opportunity to be crowned the first USPW World Tag Team Champions, and that's just what Kid Flash and I plan to do.  Yasee, we don't need some fancy team name.  All we need is the two of us whippin' ass and bringing this title home with us.  


So, you two wanna be stuck in the past with our histories.  That's fine.  Kid Flash and I are looking to the future.  More specifically, we're looking at the near future.  That future...the coronation of Pimp D and Kid Flash as the USPW World Tag Team Champions.  'Nuff said.
