(USPW interviewer Betty Lee is standing by in the locker room of the USPW Sportatorium. Next to her, Pat Gordon, Jr. stands taping his wrists, all ready for action.)
Betty: “Hello USPW fans! Betty Lee here, and I’m about to have a HOT one-on-one with one of indy wrestling’s top stars, Pat Gordon, Jr!”
(Gordon sticks the last bit of athletic tape to his wrist and turns his attention to Betty Lee.)
Betty: “So Pat, why did you decide to join the USPW World Title Tournament?”
(Betty sticks the microphone in front of Gordon’s face.)
PGJR: “Well Betty, I was listening to the radio a few nights ago and when I heard that the USPW was hosting a tournament to crown their VERY FIRST World Champion, I decided to give it a go. My dad has always been a hero to me, and God knows I’ve had my struggles since he passed on. I thought this would be the perfect way for me to redeem myself on honor my father’s memory, by bringing gold back to the Gordon family and cementing my place in USPW’s history.”
Betty: “Far out. But your first opponent is the amazingly talented Aric Mercury. How are you going to get through the first round?”
(Gordon gives Betty a stern look.)
PGJR: “I know Aric Mercury has been wrestling professionally longer than I have, and I know I’ve dropped a lot of weight since the last time I wrestled, last August. I know he’s fit, but if anyone is thinking I’m gonna be a pushover because I just got off the couch then they got another thing coming. I’ve been training and fighting my entire life, and I’m more determined right now than ever and that’s not the sort of thing anyone should take lightly. I’ve beaten some great competitors since my debut to the sport in 2010, and for every time I’ve lost, I’ve learned something new. My dad taught me to always study the match after it’s done and learn what I did right and what I did wrong. I’m ready to go and I’m not gonna go down easy. I’m determined not to go out in the first round.
“If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that nothing goes farther in this sport than heart. You’ve gotta believe you can do it. You’ve gotta have the fighting spirit, the will to keep on going no matter what your opponent throws at you and to pick yourself up and hit them back. That’s the heart of a champion. That’s what beats inside my chest.
“So Aric, you’d better be ready because I’m coming in this match planning to take the fight right to you, right from the opening bell. I’ve got one goal, to show you why everyone says the Pat Lock is the Apocalypse of Wrestling and to move on to the next round!”
Betty: “Wow. Sounds like you’re fired up! Best of luck in your match.”
PGJR: “Thanks, Betty, and thanks for taking the time so I could speak my mind.”
(Pat gives Betty Lee a half hug and leaves down the hallway.)
Betty: “This has been Betty Lee with a USPW exclusive!”
(Fade out.)

We join Aric Mercury as he arrives at the USPW Sportatorium. Sitting with him is, Joel Garcia.
"Hello everyone my name is Joel Garcia, I'm joined by the one and only Aric Mercury. Mr. Mercury how are you doing?"
"I feel good Joel. I'm excited for tomorrow. Freedom should be one hell of a night, and it'll allow me to show the front office at USPW I'm their #1 talent. Not the over hyped -PG Era- bum."
Joel looks at Mercury in shock
"Over hyped you say? Why do you say that Mr. Mercury?"
Mercury flashes a smirk
"Pat Gordon Jr. while an amazing wrestler, is all hype because this bum will leave the USPW in no time. He's not the type of talent to stick around and help build an empire. He'll leave USPW as soon as he loses tomorrow night. You can count on it."
"Wow I must say I'm shocked at hearing these comments."
"Why would you be shocked Joel? PG did USPW a solid by joining the company. I give him great credit for that one. But in this business you need to be dedicated, and he's not. This guy is more worried about Radio shows. Next week when he's on eFed Guerillas radio he can discuss how I kicked his ass all over the Sportatorium and he tucked his tail and left the company."
Joel shakes his head
"Damn man, that's a bit harsh don't you think?"
"Harsh? In this line of work there's no such thing. In this business there's no time for having a heart, you'll get hurt quick that way. So trust me Joel. That's not me."
"Well I thank you for your time and good luck tomorrow."
"Thanks"
The two shake hands as the feed ends.
